did a service call on a non running industrial furnace mounted 15 feet off of the floor, the unit had been off for 6 month,s and had lost fuel prime,it is 75 feet minimum from tank to unit and it has half inch copper tubing single pipe, unit has alway's had priming problem's according to the owner,my question is since the half inch tube is overkill for it's fuel use is the half inch tube the reason for priming problems or would three eighths tubing make it worse.

The lenght of run is to long and addedto that the height is too high.Once you do get this system running ,check the oil pump suction vacuum. Then compare that vac reading to the max vac allowed by the pump that is in the furnace. You might need a "booster pump/day tank"assembly0
