Hi You all, well I got myself in a big problem. I was called on a job that the plumber was too busy to finish especially since he was fully paid, the job looked relatively simple. 1 finish 6' of baseboard in the basement and replace 2 radiators on the 2nd floor. Now the old radiator is lower than the new one so no problem I'll just take the nipple out and cut a thread a longer one right? wrong my helper called me (I'm on the other radiator) to say the nipple turns but it seems to be getting tighter so we tried some more until one mind said try turnig the other way, to my shock the nipple came out. so now i'm stuck trying to find somebody in and around Boston that knows where to find one of these

any bonifide plumbing supply. stock item
maybe only 4 " long though . may need additional nipple & cplg. to extend to proper height0 -
I've seen them as a set- L/R nipple & coupling. They were used in gas lines instead of a union. Less likely to leak.

they are in sets and the coupling half that has the opposite thread will have an indicator mark --0 -

Left hand threade nipple
thanks you all, I located that nipple at plumbingsupply.com, the costumer has ordered it and it is being shipped. This site continues to be very helpful whether it's find parts or tech support.0
