i would suggest getting a new shaft and sleeves for the bearing assy as well--the motors bearings may be going- that particular pump i haven't seen but i have had to rebuild some of the older B&G pumps and always chaged the shaft as well --another thing to consider is the impellar --like the B&Gs when the impellar breaks the seal leaks --you really should consider a new pump it will be less of a headache and you will be able to get parts readily

There is a leak where the shaft enters the pump housing. I found the mechanical seal, but need a ballpark on time to pull & rebuild this. There are iso valves...

So the shaft between the motor & pump can be replaced? I think they are looking to stop the leaks, and replace next. I just did a ton of work on the steamer to get their DHW reliable...

Re: new seal assy, you will have to clean up the shaft, dig out
the old ceramic seal and rubber holder. Probably couple hrs on site + any draining and refill of system if no isolation. No warranty on this type of repair as the shaft may be pitted and wont seal etc. Just an Idea. We do quite a few direct couple pumps like this. Tim0
