Winterizing a hydronic system

Would like any input into winterizing a building that will be without heat this year as it is unoccupide. It is a Hot water baseboard convector system with runs underground. So just draining is not going to remove all the water. We are a heating contractor who has never attempted this and would like to help out a good customer.

Air compressor, blow out all zones and boiler. Just did my house upstate ny, kripplebush. Gets real cold up there.0 -
Got to agree
If you blow out each run seperately as you would when you fill and let it run for quite a while, they should be dry. No different than irrigation guys do every winter here in the frozen North. You'll want to have a good compressor. I'm not a fan of shutting down a system if it's a home. Hope the owner understands the other implications of moisture, frost, etc. that can do lots of damage to the structure itself.0
