Splitting a radiator

I may attempt to reduce a thin-tube style radiator from 16 to 8 sections. I assume I will need both end sections when I reconstruct the radiator. Is this correct? Thanks.

otherwise it would have no legs, and no place to screw the pipe in.

The ends usually have all RH threads so standard bushings will fit.

Anybody here ever succesfully split an old Rococco radiator
and put back together, just wunderin. I have thought of trying sometime but of course then the thought vanished. Tim0
