Looking for a Vacuum return

Good point on Shippensberg Pump, Ron. They are also a name we specify and a good product.

If you do not mind, e-mail me off line with your observations. Always learning. And I bet I will get the ground-troops view from you.

Thanks

I need to replace an 80-year old vacuum return and storage system on a steam heat system in 90-unit apartment building I own/operate.
Where's a good place to start shopping and how large a pump should I be loooking for?

Get ahold of Skidmore, also will help to have info off old unit.

The make, model and specs should be on old vac pump. should have cfm, sq. ft radiation etc if my memory serves me. Tim ( what did I just say ?)

    I second Skidmore

Good line of vacuum pumps featuring a choice of steel or cast iron receivers (I would use CI, my $0.02, for longevity). They can also act as boiler feed pumps when so purchased. Good tech assistance and selections.

Nothing against Nash, just our local Skidmore support has always been tops.

    Give SHIPCO

a try. Reliable. Use mostly off the shelf parts where possible.

Sorry, Brad. The Skidmores in our inventory are too finicky. And. Skidmore can't seem to decide who's vacuum pump/motor combo they're using this week. More than a LITTLE pricey, too.
