Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 Remote Sensing Thermostat

I have a Vison Pro 8000 thermostat that I want to add a remote sensor to monitor my tenants temperature. I can add a sensor to it but can't determine it it averages the two together or the sensor is seperate.

The 800 Honeywell number nor my wholesaler could answer this question.

The other apartment uses a TekMar 512 but my wife does not like to play with this thermostat as she feels it it to complex to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can add a outdoor sensor and run it into the appartment and it will only tell you what temperture it is in there. If a remote indoor sensor is used the thermostat goes by the locaton of indoor sensor. But the 8000 is connected to your zone.

What you may want is the thermostat controling the appartment zone wired and located in your side and the indoor sensor located in appartment. I would instal a second thermostat in the appartment and wireit in series to give them limted control.Knowing human nature (hint hint) and they might also want it lower then you allow.

Not sure if Your Tekmar 512 has remote sensor optionp
