size circulating pump to use

I was on here last fall and you guys were great helping me get my old boiler up and running. I do have a question. My circulation pump is a B&G serries 100 and the inlet and outlet pipes are 1" in size contected to my building pipes which are 2" in size. Is this OK or should i have a pump that pushes more flow??
Other info:
boiler is 430,000 BTU
27 radiators
former gravity system
large heat supply lines 3"
return lines 2"
Thank you

How many square feet (E.D.R.)
of radiation do you have?

good question
each radiator is 4 row per section and there are 20 sections. 2.5 feet high0 -
Take some pics
and post them here. We should be able to ID them. Your system originally circulated by gravity, so we have to be careful not to over-pump it.

Piping
It should be on primary/secondary piping.0 -
Overpump?
What are you referring to? I assume you mean the flow rate would be so high as to reduce his Delta T ? Or, the velocity of the water would be so high, that he would create excessive turbulence, noise and air?
What is the downside you are referring to?

Even if it's just one big zone?

I agree with Tony on P/S
The suggestion to use Primary/Secondary is to decouple what is probably an over-sized boiler for the current load. Even if not, one would want to keep the (CI) boiler hotter to avoid condensation.
Using P/S allows the radiation side almost total reset ability, down to nearly room temperature.
The size of the system and zone composition is not relevant to the P/S question, not that zoning is something to be avoided.0
