vaporstat or no

I just replaced a boiler on a Trane vapor system. I installed a vaporstat but it was defective. I put the pressuretrol on because I have to order a new vaporstat because no one has one in stock. It seems to run a lot longer cycles with the pressuretrol than the vaporstat. It kept short cycling with the vaporstat. I definantly need more venting but even when I removed the vent it would short cycle. I have plenty of B dimension 45". What would happen if I left the pressuretrol on and didn't use the vaporstat. The system was running at 1 pound and it would cut out at about 1.25. Thanks

you'd be better off
installing a two stage gas valve and a trigger device and once the pipes heat up, trigger low fire that fires just to the radiator load without the piping pickup factor..it is vapor after all..

Gerry:
Are you suggesting that the regulator you mentioned can be used on a single stage burner to allow it to operate as a two-stage burner?Steve from Denver, CO0 -
yup,
we do it on almost every one.
