denying extended warrenties for stainless boilers

That's funny, TAW writes them on T-T boilers daily.

What some people will say to make a sale.....

Besides, extended warranties should not be a basis for selling/buying ANYTHING. The product and its merits, combined with proper installation and dependable service should be the basis for purchase by the end consumer.

extended warranties denied for stainless boilers!!!

One of my suppliers (he sells the Ultra) just told me that
insurance companies are denying extended warranty coverage
on condensing boilers with stainless steel heat exchangers- but cast aluminum are ok. He said it's because of the "high failure rates". I've got a call into ECO Gaurd (an insurance co.) right now- but they haven't returned my call...Does anyone else know if this is correct????

If I know insurance companies its because their are more stainless condensing boilers out their. Its not the failure rates its the chances of them having to pay out. I have learned that insurance companies will come up with anything that could prevent them from paying. Just do home warranty work for a while it will curl your toes.
