Target wall

I opened up my peerless ECT-03 oil fired pin boiler to see if it needed cleaning. When I look down through the rear boiler section, down through the pins I can see the top of the target wall. From the front, looking into the fire box the target wall looks like it is not up against the boiler rear section. It is tilted forward at the top. Should it be straight vertical and pushed all the way back up against the rear boiler wall?

This is a problem
This is a problem if the EC is not run in the summer, being cold start and being off in the summer products of combustion build up and fall behind the wall, over time the wall pushes out. If your system is cold start and off during the summer get it cleaned at the end of April or in May.
