combustion analyzer

TPI is cheaper, also heard when its time to re-calibrate just toss-it and buy another.
Don`t really like the sound of that so I`ll stay with my Bacharach 125.

Dave

    combustion analyzer

i have been trying to get my boss to buy are techs electronic combustion analyzers for years now. finally he agreed yesterday. i suggested the new testo 327-1 with printer. after calling are supply house he refused due to the $1300 per unit price tag. he just got back from the trade show and wants to buy a unit made by TPI, a company i have no knowledge of. asking why this is the unit he wants to go with he stated its $750! so i guess my question is does anyone ahve or use there products? have do they hold up? secondly can i get some other options, anything under $1000 that comes with a printer and you guys feel is a good solid product. i dont see the since in saving a little money now if there not going to last. thanks

I just won a Tetso 327-1 kit with the printer in a raffle. I always wanted one and I finally got it, but now I am off the road and have an office job. I'd be willing to sell it. Shoot me an e-mail if your interested (henryandsue@verizon.net)

    Is it TPI or TSI?

Find out how long they will be away for calibration. My UEI is out and I don't expect to see it for months. I will be getting my Wolher 335any day. They claim 72 hours for turn around. We'll see. About a thousand bucks with printer and smoke tester plus a pile of filters and flue attachment thingies. Nice tool.
    Peace

Got my E335 today and got to use it servicing two different G115s I installed years ago. Great tool.

    Got a TSI 630

Seems to work good but every now and then I don't trust the readings especially when it sticks after a reading. Match test or checking a boiler when I pull the probe out the co drops to under 5ppm then sticks. I have a Testo personal monitor on my belt and it is at zero both before and after the test. Makes me wonder if the air free could be off on some tests. Thinking of the Wholer since a local supplier is pushing it. Most of my suppliers do not push any combustion equipment or testing for that matter the only one that does is predominantly an Oil boiler supply house so testing is more obvious than for gas. Tried to push both supplier towards having people test gas appliances but getting nothing but resistance.

I have a UEI and have good luck with it. Just a couple of weeks turnaround when I had to send it out for calibration.

My biggest mistake has been leaving it in my truck in freezing weather. Do not do that!
