the last time it was serviced it had a 1.5 gph inside. It has a AFG connected....a nd a huge Taco 111. Glenn emailed me. they actually stopped making them in '94...this one looks like late 70's. It is a consult on the system for a buyer. ty,kpc

when did Burnham....
stop producing the V1 series boilers?
I saw one today that was an 8 section. Needed some TLC from neglect. I was impressed that it had a 325F stack temp. after all this time.0 -
I beleieve
they stopped in the late 80's, I still see a ton of them out there.0 -
That sounds right
but mine is still Burnhaming!
Check the firing rate on that V-18, someone may have down-fired it too low. Also, if it has the ABC-Sunray FC Bantam burner and you're having trouble setting it up, head on over to Oil Tech Talk (www.oiltechtalk.com) for the setup info.

For a pin boiler
the V-1 series performed and lasted well. The access for replacing the chamber is pretty tight though. But they're a whole lot easier to brush out than a Weil-McLain 68 or Peerless JO.
