Ghost Heat

Have a system, installed for aprox 2 years, a Burhnam MPO with 7 active zones, 6 heat and an indirect. all controlled with taco 00R Circs (internal check) and SR504's. At end of last heat season one zone the #7 developed a ghost heat, first thought was check shot, confirmed by isolating zone(I thought) Let system run for end of season, getting the unit ready for this season replaced the CIrc, with a new 000r (3speed) set on low. Client called same problem back. My thought is to have client let boiler go cold overnight and bring the zones back on one at a time to locate a zone that may be causing a siphon action on that zone. I hate to think a second check valve shot on a circ. Any Ideas???

A pic of the supply & return manifolds would help. Could be a stuck swing check on the returns. (opposite the circs) Sounds like something failed especially if this has not always been happening.

IFC's are not reccomended for use on indirects. This may or my not be related to your problem, just talking outloud here.0
