Draining steam boiler?

water treatment, the reasons for draining the boiler and using a cleaner like squick are totally moot. If the water is clear, leave it alone. The oxygen's been sequestered and the pH is probably in an optimal range if you are following Rhomar's instructions.
Also, I wouldn't want to know what happens when you mix two differing additives. Could cause more trouble.

I have a steam pro coming to my home for a boiler checkup. He told me that I should drain the boiler every year and put Squik in it.
My understanding is that I should add as little water as possible to avoid adding Oxygen. I use Rhomar water treatment. My system works fine.
Should I be doing as he suggested?Steve from Denver, CO0
