kick toe heaters

time delay will only hold fan off for a predetermined amount of time at which the coil should have warmed above room temp and seeing as how small the coil is, it should have warmed to whatever temp the outdoor reset has determined to be sufficient to heat room. I never said this was ideal conditions, but it will allow it to work at lower temps. Snap disk is an exceptable solution, also. I never used one, but I have done with time delay and it works. Just a different solution to the same problem. Changing to an electric toe kick heater who be great, but much more costly at this time of watching pennies.

    Low temp thermostat

They have optional low temperature thermostats to turn on the fans.

    Or

you could not use them at all! :)

OK, I live in a fantasy world. Actually, even the low temperature thermostats seem a little lame and have to be begged sometimes, even with a dab of conductive paste and insulation.

I use a space thermostat to turn on the fan directly and use a speed controller in series to keep the noise down.

On my sister's house, I put the KSH's (existing, not my idea!) on their own pumped circuit directly off the boiler. The boiler still has ODR but between 180F and 140F, less of a slope than the radiators. The space stat operates the fans as described.

They are not happy creatures in my experience so one has to adapt them.

    Electric....

How about using an Electric Kick space heater..

And, or use an Strap on Snap disk Thermostat and Adjust it so that the Blower will not turn on unless the temperature going Thur the Supply line is High enough.
some models have this build in!!!

That is the problem. If water is not 140 degress, fan will not come on. Like the others have stated, use a wall stat to close relay to 120v fan circuit. It makes the toekick heater work and is the simpliest solution.

And it will freeze you toes off!!

How would it do that? If you are afraid of cold feet, put a delay on make relay in the circuit to hold fan off while coil gets as warm as it is going to get. Even 90 degress air is warmer then room temp. This would be no different then if this was a heat pump turning on.

Have you ever had 90 degr air blowing on you toes?

And what is wrong with the Snap disc t-Stat?

Also how will a time delay know when the coil is hot?

I still think Electric resistant kick space heater will not be influenced by weather..
