    Pause to reflect

My wife came to me in tears this morning as she learned of the death of a friend's young boy. Last Saturday, the friend's 14-year-old son was struck and killed by a motorist while he was riding his bike to referee a soccer match. I did not know the young man or his family but my heart immediately sunk when I heard the news.

Many of you fine people sent very kind words to me on the passing of my father recently. Dad lived a full life of 83 years and nothing was left 'undone.' A 14-year-old has an entire lifetime ahead of him and this tragically happens. What grief, what sorrow.

Please hug your kids and keep them close to you.

    Heartfelt sorrow

The old should never have to bury the young. It is so unatural and tragic. So young. My prayers to the family. I am very sorry to hear about your Pop. He may have been 83, but that does not make it easier. I've been there and it is no fun. Prayers and best wishes to you also.

    No words for this

Losing my Dad was/is the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

    Losing one of my children???

    I'm not built for that.

My oldest was afraid of the dark one night

I was lying next to him and he asked me what scares me ..

I told him " That something wil happen to you "

Hug Your Kids ... Damn right..
