And I thought all those 'missing' pv panels were helping lower the pg&e bills for the weed growers in northern CA

solar installs who can do them?

    dear heating gods,
I work for a small company that installs gas and oil equipment. we all would love to install solar panel systems but in connecticut you have to work under a solar installer for two years to get a license. Should I quit a job I like to work under some one I don't know yet to get a license so my small company and I could enjoy installing solar or should I keep praying for a miracle?

P.S. dan should open a "dear abbe" or "dear heating gods" section of this site.......thanks

    what a pita

your company should talk to an cert. installer to see if they can work "for" your company to allow you to legally install.

    Pay-Offs

I looked at installing a 5KW system on my roof PV.. I can buy the parts for about 5K (I know, don;t talk price but Im just saying parts) In any case, same parts installed in CT are 25 K. State pays 10, I pay 15. Umm, somebody is seriously being paid off. Id get licenced to get in on the fun. I have contacted CL&P about doing the hookup and they will not hook up to it unless it is permited and in order to permit a PV array you need a licence.

    Ha.

Ok, My memory blows. But Im not THAT far off. I looked up the work I did on it last year and have a few more details. Prices may have changed and they have a new "lease" program. Whatever the case, after rebtes 5K is not bad in CT. Just the Installers like to add about 10K.
