zone valve wiring

thanks for the responses guys.

yes, i agree a TACO zone valve control is a much cleaner way to go. perhaps in the future.

as it turns out the zone valve next door to the unit in question was miswired-one of the tstat wires was crossed with one of the jumpers bringing power from zone to zone and eventually to the relay by the boiler. here's a picture after i fixed it.

cheers.

what would you do? (zone valve wiring)

white rogers 13A02 (24 V 2 wire tstat)zone valves are wired in series(1 per apartment). system also has an outdoor reset:

power to/from transformer as well as aux circuit to/from pump are wired in series.

somewhere, 1 wire is misplaced such that 1 zone valve is opening even though its tstat is not calling and the valve is verified to function properly via its tstat. further, this valve is verified to not be leaking.

rather than tracking and verifying each wire would you eliminate the aux circuit to the pump? since there's an outdoor reset isn't the aux circuit redundant if all zones are calling at the same time?

    thanks in advance

    Zone valve wiring

    Hi Ziptied:

Would like to help you with this problem, but don't
quite understand the wiring setup, especially the "aux
    wiring to the pump."

If you could send me a diagram via Email, that would be very helpful.
