Recalls?

Sure, just after I say no recalls on Crown what should I find? Part of the recall involves the the CWI069 and CWI172. I installed a CWI 103 just about a year ago. I'll call them anyways just to get more info. Thanks again for the site and the tip on how to use it Dan!

Dan got me thinking

I am not aware of any other actual recalls in the HVAC industry other than the V one just recently and the Carrier / Bryant condensing furnace debacle. I've dealt exclusively with Bryant and Crown for the ten years I've been in business and I've dealt with some warantee work but can't remember any other actual recalls. What else has been happening out there? I can't recall any Crown warrantee work. Bryant a few but not too much.

There's a few going on right now

Weil has had a couple over the past year, I believe on the CGI and one other that escape's me

Peerless has one ongoing on the DEII boiler involving some pressure switches

The big one going on right now is Effikal Vent Dampers, it effects every manufacturer who used Effikal and I believe it pertains to all vent dampers used from about May 2007 to October 2007. I know most of the manufacturer's are working with Effikal to resolve it. I think all of these are listed on the www.cspc.gov site.
