The Burnham is 60% smaller. Why did they make them so big back then?0 -
Craftsmanship!
I love the attention to detail... unions on the feeder, oversized risers, especially the pitch on the drop header (that must have taken extra time to get it right).
Two questions though:
1) the hartford loop looks like it's set at the nominal waterline rather than the low water mark. Is this just an illusion due to the camera angle?
2) I keep hearing everybody advocating the use of vaporstat's, but I don't think I've yet seen pictures of a new install with anything other than the pressuretrol. What's up with that?
Love to see this stuff done right :-)

I think it is the camera angle,According to Glenn Stanton @ Burnham, center of hartford loop should be 2" below NWL. As for the vaporstat i feel it is a great option, but expensive.0 -
Looks Great!!
I just quoted a couple myself this week, I could only hope to have mine come out as nice!!!!
Kudos to Burnham on the Megasteam, it is one fine boiler0 -
Steamhead or any others?? any news on megasteam going gas
Just wondering if there is any testing in the pipeline. Also, separate question, if the boiler has a feed/tank set, the 2" below normal water line could be increased to say 4 or 6+ with out any detrimental effect?? true or not.0
