    How is

everybody doing? I must confess I writing to crow a bit. I've reached my goal of losing 30 lbs. Hopefully I can keep it off. My legs don't hurt as much and I'm not as tired by the end of the day. I have had to punch new holes in my belts or be wearing my pants like the teenagers at the skatboard park. Ha! My son has also gone down 2 pant sizes but won't confide his actual weight. It helps that he is working with me part time so we can support (nag) each other at lunch time. How are you guys doing? WW

    Great Job Wayne!

I am glad to hear you have achieved success. My success has been limited. I have no excuses. I just need to gear up my resolve and commit.

How did you do it? Exercise, eat right?

    Regards,

    PR

Portion control is the biggest factor.

Limit carbs. Don't totaly avoid them. Take only one cookie when available. (I believe Jim Henson designed the cookie monster character after watching me eat cookies one day) When I go out to eat I only eat half and box up the rest for home. Avoid sugars in soft drinks and candy bars. We have an Adkins bar as our snack before bed. I used to like ice cream at night. It was a family tradition Side bar: My Uncle Royal was a dairy farmer in upstate NY near Canton/Potsdam area. He made Maple Syrup every year when the sap started rising and sold it from the house on Rt. 11. Every night before bed, he would have a dish of vanilla ice cream with warmed maple syrup poured over it. mmmmmmm sounds yummy doesnt it. Well after doing for decades his teeth fell out. So let that be lesson to you. Ha!!! Good luck with your future endeavors. WW

    Excellent Ruthie

Glad to hear it. BTW I rode our scooter to church yesterday and the to my Dads to watch the Redskins play. What a blast I went about 50 miles on just a fraction of my tank of gas. Saving money, reducing my carbon footprint, and having fun. It's a triple play winner. :) Hope all is well with you and yours. WW

    Thanks, Wayne

Glad you are enjoying the scooter. Next year you need to go for one of your own. Still riding mine on nice sunny days. Ruthe

    18 lbs is very good

It's hard to eat right when you're on the move, and no one I know stays as busy as you. Keep up the good work. Next time I see you I'll buy you a light beer. :) WW
