This was a nice little job that replaced a steam boiler, hot water boiler with 3 zones and 1 radiant zone and a 50 gal. hwh. The happy homeowner reported that her bill for hot water has dropped dramatically since this went in (may-june). Wait till she sees how much her overall bill drops. On the steam replacement part of the house we added a combo of cast iron rads and Runtal panel rads. This was an interesting story because she already had signed up with a company to install a Vitodens. Within 3 days of the contract agreement, she had to call them to do another repair in the home. Needless to say, she was not pleased with quality of the small repair and thus cancelled the contract. This lady really had done her homework and wanted a contractor that was VERY comfortable with the brand they worked with and that, along with her very thorough investigation of our reputation, including with the local Plumbing inspector, determined that we should do the job. Having a Dad - who has since passed - that was a NYC Master Plumber and Plumbing Inspector for NYC and who had expertly installed that steam boiler we took out in Deadmen-fashion, she recognized average quality from The High Caliber work that we aim to deliver. It was a pleasure to have a client that REALLY appreciated what we produced. Mad Dog

Yep, Jimmy was there today looking at the ac system

and he "critiqued" me. Jimmy taught me much of what I know of hot water, controls and wiring. I call him superman....he is literally worth 3 "A" men. I have worked with many Union and Non Union guys over the years, many excellent ones...but I have never met anyone who is faster, more precise and ALWAYS gets the boiler fired...no matter what. MadDog, you have with you an inspiring and inspired crew. I love the simplicity of the headers, circulators, all there so easy to see, easy to follow, nothing wasted.

The Runtal panel by the door, with the new flooring (OK maybe someone else was involved there on the flooring) echoes the same simplicity as what most will rarely see in the basement.
