Propane vs Electricity in C. Oregon

More information would paint a clearer picture for an apples-to-apples comparison.

1. What are the electric rates in your area?

2. What do their propane bills run in the summer months so we can determine what part of the propane consumption is for space heating?

3. What is the current efficiency of the propane burning equipment?

Electric vs Propane in Central Oregon

I have a couple of friends who have a 1500sqft house, that has a radiant floor system. Their bills last winter were hovering around $600/month (Propane@3.30/gal). They have a BW Hot water heater that heats domestic hot water, and the floor-this unit is aprox four years old. Their current thinking is that they want to switch the propane boiler to an electric boiler, to save on fuel bills.
Would electric be the cheaper way to go? Any thoughts or ideas would be welcomed.

    Central oregon

I work in portland but sometimes stray over to central oregon for a radiant job or two and last time I ran the numbers about a year ago electricity was about 30% less using a mod con boiler. But Central oregon is an outstanding place for solar sized for heating if they really want to save some money.
