No doubt. Interesting valve, the motors are made in the USA.

    Caleffi Zone Valve Covers

I bought some EBV valves and had a few issues with them so I am replacing them with Caleffi valves. Can anyone tell me why they have to be mounted upside down? I mean if you install this valve on the return with the boiler below it and the pipe above the valve cover reads upside down. Thats so dumb. I hope they work well cause they look silly upside down.

page three of the tech sheets specifically points out NOT to install the valve upside down. Putting the electrical connections below a possible leak source is a bad idea.

    Ha!

No, your other upside down. The Vertical one not the horizontal if you know what I mean. With the actuator pointing up. It is an approved position. On the honeywells you can flip the cover around.

We use lots of those type of zone valves. Had a few minor problems but no different the the other brand.

Maybe they figure you'll put them on the supply.
