Caleffi Zone Valve Covers
I bought some EBV valves and had a few issues with them so I am replacing them with Caleffi valves. Can anyone tell me why they have to be mounted upside down? I mean if you install this valve on the return with the boiler below it and the pipe above the valve cover reads upside down. Thats so dumb. I hope they work well cause they look silly upside down.0 -
page three of the tech sheets specifically points out NOT to install the valve upside down. Putting the electrical connections below a possible leak source is a bad idea.

Ha!
No, your other upside down. The Vertical one not the horizontal if you know what I mean. With the actuator pointing up. It is an approved position. On the honeywells you can flip the cover around.0 -
We use lots of those type of zone valves. Had a few minor problems but no different the the other brand.

Maybe they figure you'll put them on the supply.0
