a seemingly reluctant HOA.

Does that leave you with a doable system? Ground mount array, reverse pitch install?

Don't forget canopy or vertical mount options.

Get busy this is one of the best time of the year for working on roof tops.

    I have been patiently waiting

for 2.5 months for approval from my homeowners association for my solar project. At 5:05 Eastern standard time I got an E-mail saying I have their blessing and permission. I'm so happy I just may do the Chicken Dance. :) WW

    LOL.

They would have an event in their Fruit of the looms if I did that. I asked them about the policy their lawyer came up with, about solar installations. Basically they are saying, back roof only. No street side panels. According to MD law, I don't think they can stop someone from doing that. MD law states that no HOA can stop a homeowners access to alternative energy. As a member of this neighborhood I'm disappointed that's all the lawyer could come up with after stalling us for 2.5 months. I wish they would have consulted with me or someone with mech experience, but they pretty much made me feel like a pain in the keester and would not answer my E-mails or correspond with me. It was not the most pleasant experience, but they couldnt reject me once I jumped through all their paper trail hoops, without breaking the State Law passed by MD this past April. They would have opened the HOA up to a law suit. I could have gotten free HOA dues for the rest of my residence here. :) WW

    solar project

Nice to get the email but..... Is that going to be your only pruff they approved your project? A written document is minimal. Note, letter on the Letterhead, clearly signed. You waited 2.5 months, hate to see you have to rip something down.

    Mr Caleffi Solar

I am interested in a Caleffi controller. The one I remember talking to you about in Chicago that has a time delay contact for a second circ for drainback systems that drops out after a few minutes, and a variable speed control for the remaining circ. My system will be drainback with 4 panels, (4 x 10) E-mail me which one I should order, or list it here. Thanks. WW

    WW,

Why not present them with your "final version" of a policy that grants what they were seeking - a roadmap for installing an acceptable looking solar system.

Some enterprising solar mfg company might be wise to draft one for your use.

    just my 2C

  • Congratulations!

On your new Baby, Wayne. I like your enthusiasm, and I am confident you will do a great job. It ain't easy being green, if it was everyone would be doing it.

Thanks for going solar, Bob Gagnon
