We have a 1930, 15 unit, brick condo building heated by a one-pipe steam radiator system. Our boiler's only about 10 years old, but we need someone to replace a couple of main air vents that aren't working properly and we'd like to have the system balanced and assessed overall for efficiency, capacity, other repairs, etc. The "find a professional" page on this site had one company listed in Illinois, but they're 90 miles away. Can anyone recommend a Chicago (or nearby suburbs) heating pro that can do this kinda of job? The phone book is full of heat contractors, but we want someone who really understands one pipe steam systems (and knows at least as much as I've learned from reading Dan's very helpful books)! ;-) Thanks!
