of the site. The stage was where the gravel is in the lower left. The museum and catering hall sits on top of the hill. The new concert site allows 25,000 maximum.

Hard to believe the empty field held so many people. I remember looking at the vast crowd from the same spot 39 years ago. It was an astounding point in time, at least for my generation. I remember most of it, but not all of it. I tried to find some of my missing brain cells that I left on that hillside, but the guards said no trespassing.

    In Seattle...

...there's several Hendrix memorial shows happening this weekend.

I just visited the Woodstock site in Bethel 2 weeks ago and was given a VIP tour of the interactive museum, courtesy of a lawyer friend who is affiliated with the new owner of the site. It was pretty amazing to go back in time. I was joined by my daughter and best friend who attended with me back in '69. The museum gives Hendrix his due, and has a special booth to record oral histories, which I did. I missed Hendrix, however...I was too soggy and waterlogged and left the festival on Sunday. Did get to see him many other times, though.

  • I got,,,

a Pandora station I made that is based on Zappa and plays a lot of lesser known Jimi too. Amazing player, he took the guitar and turned it into something else. Funniest thing that turned up on the station so far is the complete version of "Thick as a Brick".

You were at Woodstock Paul? Wow am I jealous! is all I can say about that. ;)

I went on to say that if anyone wanted to " trash " me during the meeting to please forward this link as my reply , lol. edit : and yeah , I like Hendrix and all , just not something I would normaly reference , is why I say it's weird.
