Chrome

I like to have some bookmark folders open so I can just click on what I want. I never liked waiting for the folder to open on it's own.

And it won't let me cut and paste the text to post this message

I just cut and pasted your message here, Paul. I used the right mouse button to do it.

    Ummmmm.....

    ...do I hear an echo?????

j/k, Dan - see my post below. It is amazingly fast.

What do you think about the bookmark function. I think it's a bit cumbersome.

    I didn't see the other.

It took a few minutes to figure out the Bookmarks. They're very different but I like them. Just click the star in the address bar and then save it to a folder you create in the Bookmarks Bar (let's get a beer!)

  • I also like it when the bookmarks show up on the side of the page all the time. This way it's a bit cumbersome.

    me too.

I do notice some minor problems with screen layouts and the way certain pages appear. For example, the banner ad floating across the top of the screen isn't fully displayed.

I assume little issues like these will be ironed out as the software is refined.

Dan - you're right about clicking the star to add a bookmark. One thing I just noticed - if you already have a bookmark saved, and try to add a second one to the bookmark bar, it will remove your other saved bookmark and relocate it to the bar.

Definitely will take a bit of getting used to, but I can see where this could become my default browser.

Very buggy, especially with SSL client authentication support. My Laptop no longer hibernates or sleeps when it is running.

Firefox 3 is the way to go for now.

    I'm not having any problems.

Does take some getting used to, though.

    Is it me?

Or does it appear to others that clicking on an attachment will download it and save it to your hard drive, rather than just viewing it?

I wonder if there's a way to "view only?"

    Doesn't seem to be.

It opens them in my photo editor

    I tried viewing...

...a spec sheet on a furnasty from American Standard's web site. With I.E. I could view the pdf and save it if I wished. Now it is automatically downloading the file to my hard drive, even though I'm still opening it to view.

It may be a Vista thing....

    To confirm....

...this, I just clicked the attached picture of the Eureka fitting in another thread. It opens my photo viewer to display, but I also find a downloaded copy of the picture in my "downloads" folder.
