but this is what the gas utility was offering..besides we did have height issues. In fact "B" dimension was brutally deficient. It took ALOT of tweaking to get this pup to settle in. This was one of those jobs that "made me stronger" only because it didn't kill me (IN EVERY way). I took a big leap ahead on The Lost Art of Steam AND just - if not more importantly, in Business acumen and common sense. This is the job when I decided that it must be made ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that boiler replacement does NOT mean...I am now responsible for ALL the "alterations, botch jobs, et cetera, wet return leaks, mildew smells. et al...that YOUR system has suffered from over the last century. Neitsche was right: "that which does not kill us...does make us stronger." Mad Dog

For a variety of reasons.....
Biggest one being I misplaced my old favorite digital cam, then the computer I had all my pics in has been crappy. My good bud the wire nut has helped me transfer the files. So, I will be posting some work for a while back. Have done quite a few Megsteams since then too. This was a Rinnai tankless & a Burnham Steamer we dd about 1 1/2 years ago. The HO LOVES them both. The old Steamer was about the same size, so the fuel savings can be almost directly attributable to the Rinnai. True story: Mike R, is a guy who does all his bills on computer. The gas utility computer rejected his NEW readings 3 months in a ROW!!! before sending a tech out to investigate. The guy saw the Rinnai and said: "......ahhhhh...there's the reason." Great success story. Mad Dog

So, I will be posting some work for a while back. Have done quite a few Megsteams since then too. This was an oil to gas conversion on Long Island's Gold Coast to an old vapor system that needed all the traps rebuilt, new returns. There were over 30 traps, form 7-8 different manufacturers. All the traps were buried behind plaster walls - no access. This job was actually a nightmare in EVERY way...it was a job that NO ONE else wanted to do...perhaps that is why I waited son long to post this. My mom was still with us, so we are talking over 3 years old. Mad Dog

Very nice Matt
I love the 3 banger header . And how you immediately increased the pipe size . I hope you guys weren't responsible for patching up the plaster .
Jobs like that really do go far in building character . Most guys would've walked when they figured they bit off more than they can chew . . But you stayed and finished the job .0 -
Man, that is nice work! Most steamers around here are all welded joints...and thus I have seen at least one peerless sectional leaking due to no swing joint. Great job, man...

Unfortunately, I don't think they did...........................
But that's the way it goes sometimes. We sometimes get calls from neighboring towns asking is if ".....do you guys do steam? I really have to have someone who knows what they're doin.....!!~!" Mad Dog
