why junk it? You're considering spending a lot of money, and for what?

You can have modern radiators with steam. Go to www.steamradiators.com to see some.

Did someone take the radiator out of your kitchen?

    New Heating System

First, we need a new furnace. That turned into the decision to replace the whole system. Forced (is it really called forced?) hot water, panel radiators, swtich to gas, new domestic hot water system. Yahoo -- I'm ready for a warmer kitchen and no big, bulky radiators taking up room.

A neighbor who did the same with their system, tells me he now has the problem of frozen pipes. The installer is well respected and I believe, competant. Does the thermostat have to remain at 62 degrees to prevent this problem?

Will I regret giving up the steam system?

Thanks for any help or advise you can offer.

    Susan
