Thanks for the replies. I have read that article Mike a few times. Very good work.
I've painted a few using primer and a dark gray final coat.
We were looking for some examples of rads that are painted with different colors to help us decide on our final color.
I have zero ability when it comes to colors, decoration etc. Thats why I work in basements and crawl spaces.

Cast Iron Radiator colors

I am getting ready to paint the CI radiators and left the color up to my loving wife. She was wondering if anyone might be able to post some pictures of some with different colors for some ideas. Any help would be great. Thanks.

moved an old fancy one into my living room. When it was in the basement, I thought it was the ugliest thing I ever saw. I painted it rustoleum gloss black. It is beautiful.

This is one that I painted last fall. Note that this particular brand of paint can take a while to finish off-gassing, and it gets a little bit sticky (the mittens and gloves stick to it) when hot.
