Di-electric grease and the boiler by the sea

If it is a modcon, extend out the combustion air pipe and seal the door to get rid of the moisture from fog. That should control the amount of moisture in the room anyway.

Two failures and a bad board
The board I attribute to a leak in the back flow that was above the boiler during construction. But after that I had a sensor two failure and a gas valve relay failure. The sensor two is the output water temp sensor. The boiler is in a closet on the roof of a house in San Fransisco the closet is the very small and the door is just a galvanized door that is solid louvers. My thought is the humidity from the heavy San Fransisco fog is screwing with the electrical contacts in the boiler. With the size of the louvered door I think the heat from the indirect is not enough to keep the room dry. I posted about the sensor two failure a while ago and dielectric grease in the connectors throughout the boiler was suggested. I thought this was a conductive compound. I used some that I had for automotive and went online to see if it was available packages in a form that was more suitable to the trade. I found a forum that went into the fact that it is not conductive and does nothing to improve conductivity but only displaces moisture and prevents corosion . If this is true what would be used to do the same thing but also help conductivity?0 -
its a Knight
The inspector did ask for the combustion air even though the boiler is sealed combustion. I think the job has been finaled so we could do that. I had written it of because the inspector asked for it and I won't argue something that seems little, but right now it doesn't seem so small. Thanks for the idea.0
