I have a guy who has approached me to retrofit his existing Burnham oil fired boiler system to add the wood fired one. Looking at all of Tarm's diagrams this is the one I feel will work best. His concern is, "Will the oil boiler leak or suffer deterioration if it is allowed to remain cold during it's off cycle time. I don't believe it's an issue but don't claim to be an expert on the matter. What are the prevailing thoughts out there on this?
His intent is to heat the house and an indirect DHW in the winter with wood as much as possible and then only use the oil boiler to make DHW in the summer.
