Primarary Secondary piping

that`s a pretty tall order if your not experienced in the heating field. Are you a contractor?
I assume your speaking of a Burnham CI 205?
P/S piping has been the norm along time now and there are many options, so applying this to 8 zones + indirect should be carefully done.
I would advise reading Dan`s book first as it will help you narrow down your suggestion field questions.

Dave

    primary secondary piping

A client of mine is switching to gas from oil. LIPA has sold him a series 2 {205} boiler. There will be eight heat zones plus an indirect. I have ordered Dan's book on Primary secondary piping.Originally thought we were going to do this next month,Sept, but now it's happening next week. Any one have any reccomendations on piping so I can get started on my material list this weekend?
    Thanks,Jim Cogger

All zones the same temperature requirement?

maybe a parallel boiler piping would be adequate? A two stage boiler control and pressure bypass valve.

Or a hydro-separator shown in the lower drawing.

The indirect could be treated as a zone with a high flow zone valve.

A variable speed circ like the Wilo ECO would be a sweet addition, eliminating the pressure bypass valve and really maximizing the system efficiency.
