If you have just one big zone, no need for p/s. p/s & bypass are really for the boiler protection, regardless of the system piping...

primary secondary/gravity conversions
looking for some good professional advise...almost all my heating jobs are converted gravity systems twice over and i find some very interesting prvious piping arrangements some i know are wrong some are ok. my question is this i read in dans how come book page 28 that p/s is the best way to go i also went to ibr school and they reccomend bybass piping last of all i follow burnhams installation procedures for bypass piping...i know the goal is to protect the boiler from thermal shock and condensation and not to void the warrenty...this week i am doing two conversions twice done over and i want to use pri/sec. piping with a outside reset and am looking for some ideas in the future i would like to use this system most of the time....any and all your thoughts will be greatly appricated....thanks to the crew of the wall in advance ja0
