Alex Marx (a.k.a. Stonehouse here on the Wall), his wonderful wife, Layla, John NY and his Maria, Marianne and I were having dinner in a nice Italian restaurant in NYC when Alex got a call from his sister. His Mom has passed away.

Thank you all for you kind words, thoughts and prayers.

It has been tough to watch a vibrant, energetic and bright person, a parent, deteriorate physically and mentally.

She died quietly and in peace. We saw her today as we went to make final preparations, and she looked the best I've seen in a long time. She was beautiful.

I commented to the director that they had done a great job of making her look so good. He said that they had done nothing to her. Mom was always a classy lady and now, relieved of the burdens of disease, she is again...

I've attached 2 photos of her, one from 30 years ago at my father's 65th birthday party and the other from a few years back when my wife and I visited her on our motorcycles.

Hug your kids (for they will write your tributes)!
