    Favre vs Brady

Jet's break my heart every year, maybe this year it's going to be different...

    Nope

It'll be the same old Jets. They will flounder in mediocrity as usual and Favre will get the blame. And whats Brady got to do with it? Isn't he still in hiding after the embarrasing defeat and the hands of the lowly Giants? Is Brady in camp yet??? He could use the practice.

Well, I'm pleased Favre is a Jet. He's better than any QB they have now. At least the Jets will be entertaining to watch. Couldn't be happier.

    Let's move on

Gee, what is ESPN going to do now that its plans for an all-Favre ESPN network have evaporated? They'll have to pull their 20 reporters off the story and hopefully send them to the unemployment line. Care to start a list?

    Favre

The Packers have made a HUGE mistake. 4-12 season at best for them. It will be interesting to see how the jets use him. Any time Brett's been backed into a corner he's come out playing his best, the Jets could really do well, especially with as easy a schedule as theirs appears to be.Anybody want to buy some Packer jerseys? My team really let me down!

Being a life long Jet fan

I expect to be disappointed, and usually early so I can jump on some other's team bandwagon. Let's see: Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys, Giants, etc.

It all depends on the protection Favre receives, he's 38 and not very mobile, he better get rid of the ball quick. If he goes down it will be (in the words of Talking Heads) "same as it ever was"...

I hope there is a Jet/Patriots Monday Night Game

    Lions roar

I don't know what all the hype is about Brett Farve. Detroit Lions will win the superbowl this year! I just watched the weather channel and it says Hell's freezing over! Better get on the bandwagon! WHOA!

    well

he's lucky the jets aren't playing the steelers this year....there's a pounding he won't get. Unless the Jets happen to make the playoffs, which I doubt.

These guys never know when to quit. It's too bad. Outstanding guys finish up their career playing too long for some team they never shoulda joined.

He shoulda quit a Packer. Now he's a goof.

    Naaaaah

that would happen if the Ravens won the Super Bowl. The first time was a mixture of luck and the fact that no one took them seriously. They can't get away with that anymore.

We have these two grandiose stadia in Baltimore, and no reason to go to a home game anymore......

    Thank You Brett

Brett gave Wisconsin and our Green Bay Packers his best and we all thank him for all the memories and quality football.

That being said I and many others in Wisconsin are worried about Brett as a person and Brett's family.Brett's wife was supposively a major factor in the three year process that finally resulted in his retirement. While many here in Wisconsin and now in New York feel Brett has fuel left in his tank I think it is time to face the reality of Brett being at least 5 years past his prime.

While a quarterback steers the ship, it takes the other team members or crew to support him. Brett had chemisty with his team mates here in Wisconsin and loved the great outdoors. He went through a pretty wild period here also as a member of the "Three Amigos" (Brett, Frank Winters and Mark Chmura) His wife stepped in and put an end to that with threats of leaving and Brett responded properly to save his marriage and pehaps his career.

Then there was the Vicodan addiction that he conquered in the early 2000s. My point is this, Brett has just passed up a great opportunity to go out on top. Instead he flip flopped and wanted back after a very extended retirement process that put he,his family and yes his fans through a very emotional roller coaster ride. His desire to come back has created havoc to a team preparing themselves to play without him.

Good luck Brett you were truly a class act and you always seemed to do what you had to do to make things right on and off the field. Until that is your latest actions that left many of us with a feeling of bewilderment!

Prove us and yourself wrong by bringing a Super Bowl to the Jets!

    Life goes on

I have been a Packer fan for a long time. The Packers were a TRUE team in every sense of the word. Brett was a part of the team. (A valuable one yes, but still A PART) Just because he is now with the Jets, does Not make me a Jet fan.It will be interesting to see how well he does WITHOUT the rest of the Packers to guard him. Just because he can throw the ball does not mean someone is going to CATCH IT! It takes alot more than one man to win a SUPER BOWL.Like Rich said....I wish him well in whatever he does, He EARNED that! I am also SURE that Rogers will make me PROUD! Remember the Green Bay Packers are the ONLY team in the NFL, owned by the city, Not by a corporate millionaire.

I will still wear my green and gold #4 jersey NEVER Green and white.
