My wall of shame

the wall of shame in my opinion. Maybe a few before and after shots to showcase the quality work you provide, but selling by showing to many bad installations doesn't excite me.
Sort of like the scare tactics the politicians are trotting out these days :) Vote for me or the Russians will be in the "Peach State" forever.

My wall of shame
Been working on my wall of shame. Really just a collection of photos I have taken on service calls and estimates. Like to let home owners know what we are looking for.

What do you think.
P.s. The auto notification from this web site does not work for me but I check back often.

Hi Mitch,
Looking good,, alot of scary stuff out there, seems like it`s around every corner!

Check photo title
Mitch,
I think you are showing a burner assembly in an atmospheric boiler and listing it as
"Rotted gas logs with
signs of roll-out".
That photo may be mis-labeled.

What's the big deal?
We see these things every day, it's our job... If I were to take pictures of all the unsafe, wore out and abused equipment I wouldn't have any hard drive space left.0 -
Saving lives

Agreed, however if you do not act on what you see, lives could be lost.
Too many techs let stuff like that go, and the six o'clock news does the rest.
Every time you show what "BAD" looks like:
Maybe some HO lurking here goes in the basement and thinks, "I guess I should not let my brother-in-law (who works at the Doughnut Shop) do this at night anymore.
Maybe some tech who does not know any better, does not walk away from the next unsafe system,
And the list goes on

Well done
The pictures of chimney systems falling apart due to improper installations are excellent.
How about sprinkling in some pictures of the equipment itself that caused the chimney degradation? Or recently installed equipment with poor piping, venting or electrical practices.
Keep it up,

Are you infering we let stuff like is go by???
Come on fellow, we are professionals. If we are not replacing it (up to code), we're walking out and will accept nothing for our time as we don't want to be responsible.
However, we see these things everyday and if stopped to take pictures of every infraction of the code or worn out junk, my hard drive would be over flowing.

I don`t think Ed was referring to all techs, unwillingly though, many do miss things.
Mitch is just building his WOS
from things he has witnessed and I see no harm in bringing that to a potential clients attention.
Besides, it is his hard drive!

wall of shame is part
of my web site, lots of pictures of work we have done this page is just one or may become two of things we have seen.
Just like to show people what we are looking for and what can happen if things are not done right.

To Heat
Heat,
I apologize if I offended you. No insult was intended.
I was not referring to YOU as leaving anything like that in service.
Dave was on point with my intention.
I was just commending Mitch for assembling that information for the general public and techs to learn from.
