radiant floor systems

Zurn has come out with a new pex I believe called performa. Seen samples. It is virtually the same in flexibity as the Uponor/Wirsbo pex (they state as such) but also when uncoiled, will lay reasonably flat -- will not try to spring back up on you into original coil. Interesting concept. You can take a coil of pipe, straighten out a short piece to sleeve up a wall

It comes with a higher price too puts its right up there with Uponor. We just placed an order for a couple of sizes - going to try it out on a few trades people to see what they think. I suspect it will be very popular for snow melt in the cold weather.

I've been a long time user of Uponor (Wirsbo) radiant floor heating products and I'm now using Veiga.

I've used Uponor for so long it was hard to even entertaint the idea of using something else. In addition my local supply houses don't even stock the Uponor anymore.

    Any thoughts?

How do you find there pex in cold weather ? is it as flexable? was it the cost of the Uponor pex that got them droped from the wholesaler or what I have been using uponor for the last 20 years for my heating systems all the way back when it had green stripes and only comp fitttings
