bill, is this oil or gas?It could be 3,000 btu's per sq. in of "free air opening" NOT grill size or it could be as high as 6,000 btu's per sq in.Also a high and lo air opening might be required.Check w/ the furnace mfrg for their requirements.Primary air? Secondary air?Atmospheric burner?Fan assist?Tight furnace room?Ect,ect!Being a semi-pro(fishing doesn't count) you want to get this right!

Sizing
Is more important than looks as an undersized make-up air source can have very negative effects on firing and even CO levels. Have a proffessional give you the proper size and then look for an attractive grille.0 -
while i am new to the biz and i commercial fish 6 months of the year (the summer) i guess i am considered a prof., the unit ran fine (#s checked) this is purely cosmetic,
just looking for site with a selection of sizes so i can
size to fit.0 -
i guess my point is not getting through,i am a licensed oil heat service tech, i have passed the silver test in massachusett's,i have a one horse company in rural alaska that i only run in winter when the demand is such that the year around
guy's can't keep up,having said that back to the original request,i am looking for a grill or air inlet cover that looks better than the previously mentioned beaver chewed one that is in the door,i am well aware of the air implications, just do not have current access to a distributer for these and was asking for directions.for the record the unit is running fine this is purely a cosmetic thing0 -
