Shelburne Falls Bridge of Flowers Road Race (OT)

For those of you that have been to Shelburne falls and seen the quaint little town of 4000 population between Shelburne and Buckland I just watched the start and finish of the 10K Bridge of Flowers Road Race. Largest ever here. nearly 1200 runners from as far away as Ethopia and Kenya and as close as Buckland and Shelburne. Winner was one on the Africans. Not sure which; they were neck and neck at the finish. Time was about 31 minutes. I think this was # 30. Started with less than 100 runners and has grown into one of the hardest 10K courses on the tour. What a sight. Maybe at next year's annual event in my backyard we will let you all run the course to see how you do. LOL Sure does change the tempo of the town for a few hours. Ruthe
