you'll need something that can take the heat. Maybe a metallic paint?

Dressing up steam return pipe
I am doing a renovation where an exposed 1-1/4-inch steam return runs along the wall of a ladies room/locker room. The pipe is very visible and will be replaced. Are there any chrome or other covers that can be used to make it look nicer? Or should I just prime and paint? Being a locker room, moisture and corrosion is a concern if going with paint.
Thanks,

decorator steam pipe
that pipe might look pretty in pink or just shoot a coat of rustoleum black on it.-nbc0 -

what about stainless?
Perhaps the cost differential is too great, but isn't it possible to find some stainless pipe that you could polish up a bit? It may be more expensive for the material, but it will never need to be refinished.0 -
Insulate it first
Unless this pipe serves as a heat source, I would insulate it to minimize carbonic acid formation. (And if it IS a heat source, I think you can do better
At least a half-inch although codes usually call for one inch thickness.
Once insulated, there are PVC covers that come in a number of colors to finish it off. Ceel-Tite comes to mind. Solvent welded will help resist corrosion.0
