If you search this site you will find that question has been asked 100+ time. Which Brand is Better? If there are 50 different brands you will get 50 different answers. Most of the well known names like Burnham, Buderus, Weil Mclain, Energy Kinetics, Viessmann etc. make good reliable efficient product. What really matters is how the equipment is installed into your system and if it is sized and controlled correctly.
Lately I have been using Burnham, in the past I have installed Buderus and Weil Mclain and they are all good pieces of equipment. I base my decision on my relationship with my local distributor and my experience with the manufacturer, I would suggest you quiz the contractor about how the boiler fits into your system and how it will be controlled rather than the actual brand of equipment.
Just my thoughts.
