Oil tank dual fitting

Looked at a spec for a 500 gal oil tank/booster pump/Mitco day tank that calls for the oil tank dual fitting to be for 1/2" I.D.{5/8" O.D.}.Several local plumbing supply house's say no way ! They have fittings for 1/2" O.D. Any recomendations here on Long Island ,first ,or anywhere else 2nd. Thanks!!!
