Something wrong?0 -
Let's try doing it this way
It seems like it was just yesterday that a group of us met in the back yard of Ruthe Jubinvilles to share our friendships, remember our dear friend Jerry and raise some funds for hospice.
But here we are 1 year later and Ruthe and her family managed to put together a wonderful spread for all to enjoy, yet again! We got to share those friends putting faces with names, raise few glasses to Jerry, whos presence you could feel there, raise a few bucks for hospice and as an added bonus we got to celebrate Ruthes Moms 95th Birthday!
Ill begin with a picture of this really cool ride Paul Fredricks showed up in.
And here are a few pictures on some of the folks attending this magnificent weekend extravaganza.
Heres a picture of Leo and Wayne
These Two beautiful women would be Mary Beth and Nancy
From left to right is, Paul, Chris, Darin & Ronnie oh and by the way the two fingers above Chriss head belong to Chuck Shaw.
Theres Ruthe, Chuck, Brad and Brads Lovely wife Susan looking at pictures of our dear friend Jerry and remembering him.
Heres a picture of Ruthes daughter Deanne and I, I only have the privilege of seeing her and spending a wonderful day with her once a year. But the wait is worth every second because shes such a kind, caring and beautiful young lady.
Speaking of beautiful woman I also had the privilege of spending some time with Mary Beth on my right and Nancy on my left.
The day only got better when we all got see the newly Weds, Yep thats the one and only Brad White and his beautiful new bride Susan. Also see in the background is my dear friend Leo.
And heres the most beautiful woman of all, Ruthes Mom, who I had the pleasure and honor to present to her a cake honoring her 95th Birthday. Everyone there including me sang Happy Birthday as I approached this wonderful woman.
Let me tell you something about this wonderful women, we spent some time chatting and I learned that all her life, all she has done is her very best to stay busy and help others when ever and how ever she could. She expressed to me the importance of doing something good for others each day of her life for at least one other person in the world and more when ever possible.
To this day she knits blankets and provides them to the needy. So much can be learned from this woman.
And heres a great picture of Paul being kind enough to take Ruthes Grandson for ride in this very cool car.
I truly hope you all enjoyed the pictures and captions as much as I enjoyed this weekend with Ruthe, her family and our industry friends.

Hey guys!
We just got in. We took the long way home, including a stop in Pottsville, PA to locate the Yeungling brewery. Unfortunately they were not hiring. Thanks for a wonderful time. Everyone was kind and helped me drink my home made Chimay Ale, without making faces or spraying it in the air followed by gasping for air and expleted expressions. What great folks. I hadnt talked to Alan since the Marlboro Wetstock, or Chris since the Baltimore Wetstock. Of course the folks I just saw in Denver it's always a pleasure to see; Our wonderful hostess (and traveling companion) Ruthie, Darin, Chuckie, & Brad. And of course it was good to meet old friends for the first time; Leo, Ronnie and Paul. Today is Ruthies mother's B day. Wish her a happy B day from me and TL Annmarie. I'll try to get some pictures on real soon. WW

thank you
I had a great time being able to meet alot of new people and finally be able to put names to faces after the long time that my father was away for. It was nice to have the pleaser of meeting everyone.
And thank you ruthe for a great party, and allowing me to meet everyone. it was a great time.0 -
And the people who didn't make it
For everyone who didn't make it, try to be there next year. Ruthe does a great job and her family pitches in to help her. It's a great location in a small town and the crowd can't be better.

severe storm
We really lucked out yesterday. last night about 5:00P a microburst hit the town of Whately just 20 miles from us and took down trees flattened a tobacco barn, put trees on houses and on cars and put 3000 people without power.. We just had another storm a little while ago that also put trees on power lines and houses but again we only got the rain and some wind.0 -
Ruthe, I was actually going to call you and ask about any storms that may have passed through. I slept like baby in the hotel last night never hearing any sounds of a storm.
Yet, when I headed down I-91 this morning for the first 15 miles all I seen were trees that were uprooted and branches all over the highway. Your post now explains what I was seeing.

I saw that on the way home that night too, and the road was still wet. Boy, am I glad I didn't leave early!
Hey Wayne, I never got a chance to try the home brew. Guess I'll just have to look you up if I get down to Germantown.
Thanks again Ruthe, a great day with great people, as expected.0 -

Must be the #2
Notice how Alan always migrates to the good looking women, err, they migrate to him. I was thinking about you folks and really hope to make it back next year. This has been a whacky summer.
By the way Ruthe, did you dig out the pool for Alan?0 -
Planted prickley roses in pool area
but had a kiddie pool for Alan. They are already planning next year's party. I think we will call it the Big Ugly Great Friends because that is what you all are. Ruthe0 -
Ruthe
and her family are the best hosts! Mom Sylvia is as giving and gracious as you can imagine- always on the go...
Ruthe- thank you and yours for sharing the day, for remembering Jerry and sharing Mom's 49th year coming to a close. What a tribute and dare I say it, a tradition.
Alan- thanks for the photographic memories and captions- you captured the day! Wayne and Anne Marie were surprise guests (OK the home brew was fun too); they get the long distance award- Paul and his fun car, Ron and his wheels, JCA, Nancy, Mary Beth and Leo- great to see you all!
Susan and I had a fantastic time; she enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing Darin and Anthony again.
Susan also offered that maybe Dan and Scott are trying to avoid her....and that it is they who really do not exist....:P0 -
Ruthie
TL Annmarie is talking about getting a scooter like yours. The whole way home she was pointing out all the scooters she saw on the road. I think you got her going. Can you do wheelies on those things? WW

Wheelies
It depends on the horsepower and the rider
Chance can but I will not try so I don't know
Mine is 250 cc so has quite a lot of power but is fast enough to keep up with traffic where ever you ride. Heavy enough to stand wind speeds. I ride it on Interstate at 70 to 75 mph and don't begin to top out. Chance has naturally had it faster than that but he won't tell me what it will do. I think she would love it. I do. Ruthe

weather update
rain every day since party day. And the National weather service is trying to confirm what hit in Whately and Sunderland on Saterday was a tornado not just a micro burst. Boy did we luck out. Ruthe0
