Is there a odr control to use with a tankless coil oil boiler? I know you can use the Heat Manager, are there others?

no
You need a smarter boiler; and rid yourself of the old fassioned tanless coil. Have your heating guy install an indirect, then install the reset control.

you can't do anything useful with a tankless coil. you're stuck at maintaining a big hunk of something inthe basement at 190 to 200 degrees, 24/7, no matter what you do.
all reset would do, in a mixing device, is improve comfort at the emitters.0 -
Saving Fuel
I agree with Gary and Rob. You will save far more fuel (assuming that is the goal) by installing an indirect water heater than you would with a reset control. When you are installing the indirect, you can plan for a future reset control, such as a Tekmar 260.0 -
With a mixing device.......
..... between the boiler and the emitters, you can do full reset and allow the boiler two maintain temperature. Fuel savings? Maybe a little. Comfort improvement? absolutely.0 -
There have been disadvantages associated with tankless coils revolving mainly around the need to keep the unit up on temperature 24/7 and lack of storage. There are a number of variables which I'm not going to get into including age and efficiency of boiler. Assuming you are getting sufficient hot water from the coil, you can install outdoor reset and deal with your domestic hot water needs by installing a timer. When we first used outdoor reset controls "some" years ago we offered ODR units equipped with mechanical timers allowing people to program bringing the boiler up to temperature during the day. In most cases people use DHW at set times during the day, morning and evening. For those periods outside the programmed settings, we would install a mechanical 1 hour timer which people could use to bring the boiler up to temp in order to get DHW. People realized significant savings with these setups.0
