My boss just posed a question to me. He wants to know if anyone uses the cold return of the floor loop to feed back into the same mixing valve that feeds the floor loop? Instead of bringing CWS to the mixing valve for the floor loop.
and if not why. advantages disadvantages.

If I understand your question correctly, that is how we do it when doing a simple system with a 3 way mixing valve.
