sounds like you need to measure the venting pressure, then find out the tripping pressure of the switch?

also finding out what the manufactures specs are on the fan so you know its within its speces or not. then you can focus on the switch.

    Takagi questions

I have two different Takagi's giving the same error message (4 blinks on it's lil' red light). These 4 blinks of the red light in the manuel indicate two problems. Either the Fan or Pressure Switch. If you trip the breaker that powers the Takagi it will reset and work fine for the next ten times and shut down again with this same reading. I cleaned out the Takagi and drain ports and still the same response. Any clues? Anyone else seen this?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Did you

Pull the burner and clean it. You could also have some buildup on the exterior of the HX. We some in a laundromat and they have to be cleaned about every year or so. Lint and combustion residue. You can take the burner right out of the unit (depending on model) and just hose it out.

    yup!

Pulled that sucker out following the crazy instructions Takagi sent me. Still the unit is doing the same thing.
    Hey Steve,
    How your daughters wedding go?
Did you get my pictures of the solar?
Would love to speak to you more.

    both units?

since both units are tripping at the same time, sounds more like the venting is the problem?

either its under sized, or has a partial blockage, or not installed properly, wind causing high vent pressures? maybe excess condensation occurring in the vent?

i suppose it could be a voltage problem? effecting the fan speed but doesn't seem likely.

    sorry

I should of made it more clear that these two units are in two different locations. Sorry about that. I will double check all those ideas you pointed out. I'm getting low on hair to pull out.
    Thanks for the info.
