I am wondering what the proper way to extend a dishwasher drain line is. I want to install a DW in a island and would need to extend the drain line 6 feet or so.
Thanks, Tim

I just
use a short piece of 1/2" pipe as an insert cplg, 2 gear clamps and a piece of automotive heater hose.

I would run it the same way you run any DW. Use the correct size hose. I would go up first to the top of the Island and then down under the floor and then back up to the top of the counter top. This creates the air break you need to protect the DW from a back up in the sink.
